Sir Grout's President and Co-Founder Advises on Successful Franchising

Tom Lindberg was on Franchise Friday podcast to discuss Sir Grout's thriving business model.

New Milford, CT - (PRWEB - July 07, 2014) - Tom Lindberg, president and co-founder of Sir Grout, world-leading hard surface restoration company, was a guest recently on BlogTalkRadio's podcast Franchise Friday. Mr. Lindberg discussed Sir Grout's successful franchise business model with host Brendan Major on June 27.

Mr. Lindberg was on the Entrepreneur's Source-powered show to tell listeners about his unique transition from the corporate CPG world to entrepreneurship and franchising. He also talked about the role new technologies have on Sir Grout's everyday business when offering customers one-of-a-kind services, such as stone cleaning and color enhancement.

Mr. Lindberg, a veteran of the corporate world, spent nearly 20 years in the consumer automotive aftermarket business. He was vice president of the overseas line of Honeywell International's CPG Group, handling 13 business units across Asia, Europe and Mexico. Most recently, he was president and CEO of Interdynamics Inc., where he served on the Board of Directors and ultimately led a rapid turnaround of the family-owned company. After spending years in Corporate America, Mr. Lindberg decided to make a change and try out a new type of business … and dipped his toes in the service world.

On Franchise Today, Mr. Lindberg explained the top strategy for Sir Grout's success: winning with winners. He believes it is vital to populate companies with great professionals who know their business and want to please customers by offering them unique services and pay attention to details. Sir Grout's unique services include wood deep cleaning, no sanding wood refinishing, tile and grout cleaning and sealing, stone countertop sealing, and caulking.

When it came to final advice, Mr. Lindberg said, "Focus on how you make your customer feel." He mentioned two of his favorite brands, Disney and Harley-Davidson, as an example of the amazing customer experience they both provide. "They are both brands with a particular feel to them," Mr. Lindberg said.
